Making Memories: TEDx Winchester

Updated: Feb 23, 2023

Hello Taletellers, Talkers, Storytellers and Speakers

It was an absolute privilege to speak in the historic city of Winchester, my beautiful home town. I gave a lot of thought to my talk; I wanted to explore how memories helped me recover from life-changing injuries.

Throughout my life, I wanted to try everything. To experience all that this life has to offer. Over the years, I've had a good crack at most things, a jack of all trades, master of none.

As you'll find out from this TEDx talk, I've been fortunate in the places I've visited and the things I've experienced.

Ask yourself some questions after watching my talk.

🗺 What places have you visited?

🧗‍♀️ What have you experienced?

🤝 Who have you met on the way?

🤔 What memories could you revisit?

📝 What ideas could they ignite?

🛫 And how could that process propel you into action?

I'm a former soldier; I was wounded in action; I'm a double leg amputee, long-distance open water swimmer and cold water dipper. I think it's vital for your mental and physical health to get outside and find your tribe.

🤷‍♂️ What's next?
